How to Apply

The market fills fast so make sure to apply early. We maintain a waitlist so if a particular date isn’t available, you may still have an opportunity to be a vendor that day. Becoming a vendor is easy:
- Review the Farmers Market Rules and Information Guide.
- Review Quick Tips: Sale of Farm Products and Homemade Foods in Wisconsin.
- Complete the online vendor application using the links above.
- If your vendor application is approved, you will receive a digital invoice for your vendor fees. Depending on when you apply, your vendor space is held for up to seven days. After your fees are paid, you vendor space is secured.
- All vendors are invited to our annual vendor meeting. The meeting is virtual and we’ll share detailed information about the market, special promotions and other news.
- We send a vendor map and detailed instructions at least one day before each market. Market staff is available the day of the market to help.
- Wisconsin does not have a Cottage Law, but does not require a license to sell shelf stable/non-perishable foods. In addition, several foods, like produce, maple syrup, honey and pickled foods can be sold without a license. Find more information and food license requirements here.
- A Transient Retail Food License may be needed to sell food at the market. This can be obtained through the North Shore Health Department.
