Help Our Neighbors Dine

No one can do everything, but everyone can give a hand in ending hunger in our community. New in the 2025/2026 season, buy a little extra when you shop at the market and we’ll donate the food to families in need. At the end of each market, what is collected will be delivered to food insecure households within a 10 mile radius of the market through our partnership with Wounded Wings Association and DoorDash. Having food delivered makes the program accessible to seniors and others who may lack transportation or have limited mobility. Register to add your household for weekly delivery.

How Does It Work?

  • Shop at the WFB Farmers’ Market and buy food to donate
  • Purchase what you would like and add one for a neighbor
  • Hand the extra items to the staff at the information tent
  • At the end of the market, the team will sort and bag/box the donated items
  • Door Dash will pick up the bags/boxes and deliver them to people in the area who need food
  • Wounded Wings Association will provide, hygiene products
  • Breadsmith of Whitefish Bay will donate bread
  • Farmers and other vendors are invited to give
  • Together we can help a neighbor dine and provide healthy food to hungry people in our community

How to Get Involved

This season, we will deliver food to 25 households each week. To participate, you must live within a 10 mile radius of the mark. Each week of the market, eligible participants will be called to confirm they are home and able to receive food. A DoorDash Dasher will then pick up their bag/box from the WFB Farmers Market and deliver it to their home. Click here to sign up.

Donate Food

Come to the market and drop off food to our information tent. If you are a local business or restaurant, contact us to arrange for food to be distributed from your establishment.

Donate Cash

Each delivery costs $5 through our partnership with DoorDash. Helping 25 families a week costs $125 or $500 per month. Your donation of $5 or more lets us get food to seniors and families in need.

Corporate Donations and Sponsorships

Local businesses are invited to donate food or other essential items to the program. To offset costs, we welcome weekly, monthly or full season sponsorship of the program. Learn more about sponsorship options here.

Spread the Word

Spread the word! Let your friends, neighbors and corporate partners know how to apply and participate. During these uncertain times, we can all do our part to make sure all of our neighbors have food to eat.
